At YTC we believe that your first time upon the snow is the most important and of paramount importance to how all of your future skiing holidays will unfold. YTC’s ski and snowboard lessons are professionally designed to create the best possible foundation for many, many winter holidays to come.

With the YTC team, under the direction of Director of Skiing Mariano Galas, Maltese skiers learn to ski with style, technique and confidence in an environment of close attention but little pressure. Mariano’s style of instruction is a mixture of patience, well placed encouragement and care, making the process of learning much easier than you may imagine.

Almost everyone taking part in YTC instruction courses complete their week with the ability to not only ski but ski well. Whatever the age, everyone has the chance to learn a new skill on the slopes. Mariano’s lessons are all conducted in small groups for maximum effect and this combined with his highly personal style provides positive results. All novices also enjoy the backup of the rest of the YTC support team including Eleonora, Kevin, Joe or Charles, so there is always a Maltese speaking representative close at hand... a service unique to YTC in the mountains.

Another unique service of YTC’s group sessions is a list of exclusive extras including an organised race at the end of the week, a professional photographer to take photos during the race (photos are available for purchase from the hotel), and a DVD of themselves on the slopes (DVD at a nominal charge).

By utilising a top skier in the person of Mariano (he is regularly the winner of races held in the region and has won countless trophies competing throughout Italy), plus the assistance of a first class backup team, YTC’s guests are learning the best from the best. Emphasis is placed on correct technique and, most important of all, safety, while allowing guests to have and enjoy that extra special factor... fun on the snow - this is a holiday after all. From the gentle nursery slopes, progressing with each individual’s abilities to the more challenging blue (and in some cases red) slopes, everyone can experience the thrill of the snow, as your ability grows in hand with your confidence. At the end of the week group participants receive a medal and a digital picture certificate as keepsakes and everyone has made new friends during their shared group experience.

Skiing is a special activity which can be enjoyed at many different levels of accomplishment... you don’t have to be brilliant to have a brilliant time on the snow. Skiing is a sport that the whole family can share and enjoy together... making it one of the most pleasurable holiday options of all. Even those who can already ski can find their skills vastly improved by either individual lessons, or a few days group lessons with skiers of similar ability.
