bormio
Always popular with Milan’s smart set, this charming medieval resort is famous for its long, long runs. Bormio’s Valcetta peak which runs down to the town has a vertical descent of 1225 metres, while the 4km stretch on the Stelvio piste is considered by many expert skiers to be the most challenging in Europe. Expert skiers who want to test their skills to the limit should find the slopes of Bormio filled with moguls, fast bends, sudden changes in slope steepness and direction, thrilling enough to fulfil their craving for snow action.
YTC can organise trips to Bormio for individual holiday makers or groups all throughout the season. A ski safari visiting Livigno, Isolaccia, Santa Caterina and Le Motte can be organised on request.
