Apart from Livigno, this year we have two more skiing destinations for you to choose from – Wagrain and Andalo. What makes a holiday in Livigno so special?

There are lots of answers to that one question. Livigno is unique in many respects. Primarily Livigno enjoys a location which, to a great extent, guarantees excellent snow conditions. Livigno village is situated at 1800 metres above sea level, an altitude at which most European ski resorts stop, while the extremely well maintained and varied slopes on each side of the valley tower to 3000 metres giving what skiing fans refer to as a ‘snow sure’ environment.

This in effect means that the slopes of Mottolino and Carosello (which overlook the village) offer first class skiing when other resorts are either very limited (or even closed). Livigno as a winter holiday destination means that the risk element of ‘will there won’t there be enough snow?’ is negligible... why take chances with your winter break which you’ve been looking forward to for the whole year?
