Welcome to this, our TENTH edition of YTC’s Ski & Snowboard publication. I hope that you find the new larger format more exciting to explore and to choose your winter holiday from. Looking back upon last season, I am pleased to say that it was the most successful yet, with more Maltese discovering and re-discovering the unique pleasures that a holiday on the snowy slopes has to offer.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is the fact that it allows me to meet the broadest possible spectrum of people.

Attracting, as it does, guests from all walks of life and every age group (including babies in arms and Nanna’s and Nannu’s) a winter holiday is truly a vacation which has something for everyone to enjoy. In particular Livigno attracts and then seduces YTC clients with her typical Alpine charms. It is a great personal pleasure (but no surprise to me) that so many of you return year after year and recommend the YTC - Livigno combination to so many of your friends and family. This is validation that my team and I (in Malta and ‘on resort’ in Livigno) are achieving what we have always aimed to do... provide top quality winter holidays at realistic prices with an unrivaled, unique package of support services.

I believe that your holiday is too important to gamble with and to this end my team and I endeavour to provide a ‘Malta to Malta’ holiday during which clients are actively supported throughout the period of their holiday. I do realise that on the face of it the internet and other types of booking facilities can look attractive but I sincerely believe that the ‘total holiday experience’ which YTC has to offer is far superior. After all who wants to be just an anonymous number, practising a new sport, left to their own devices far from home in the mountains? YTC’s team is on hand should anything unforeseen arise during your holiday on the slopes, with Maltese representatives always available to smooth out any problems which may occur, not to mention the fun aspects which include races, supervised on and off snow activities and video sessions... it is a holiday after all and my team and I do all in our power to make sure that you take home happy memories.

This personal approach goes a long way, in my opinion, to explaining the high level of repeat guests which we experience every year. At this point I would like to take this opportunity to thank the YTC skiing team in Malta and Livigno - Mariano and Eleonora, Joe Grixti, Kevin Carbonaro and Charles Zammit. Your efforts have greatly contributed to the happy holidays of many Maltese winter holidaymakers. YTC winter holidays offer a unique package which I am sure is offered by no other tour operator in these islands. Of course Livigno itself forms a huge part of what I believe is a winning combination.

Over the years the people, restauranteurs, bar-owners and shopkeepers of Livigno have become used to the annual influx of YTC’s Maltese guests and offer a genuine welcome to us... they like the Maltese for our sense of fun and the way we are determined to get the most from our holidays. Livigno remains YTC’s primary winter destination because I am convinced that there is nowhere in Europe more suited to Maltese winter holidaymakers. This continuing partnership with this very special Alpine location has allowed me to build up a portfolio of prime site accommodation in the town of Livigno which adds to clients’ enjoyment as all hotels and apartments are centrally located and within a short walk of both the slopes and the pedestrianised main shopping streets.
